We are a married couple in Castro Valley, CA. Victor is the resident beekeeper, while Amanda tends to the garden. Our backyard bees produce delicious honey and work hard to increase our produce (and their flower) yields.
We love planting new flower varieties to see what the bees like best, to keep flowers going as far into winter as possible, and to vary the flavor of the honey throughout the year.
In addition to attempting perennial blooms in our garden, we have a variety of California native plants for the bees to visit. Our garden also attracts many California native bees, and, while they don't make honey, we are glad to feed these important pollinators. We think you'll love our raw, unfiltered honey - and any other produce we have in season!
That's it: 100% raw, unfiltered honey. As with all honey of this type, it will eventually crystallize. You can de-crystallize with a gentle water bath, or just enjoy your new "honey butter" with a spoon
Honeycomb, wax, propolis, flavored honeys
Cara Cara Oranges (seedless), Owari Satsuma (seedless), Avocado, and Pomegranate
Depending on the year, we might have beans, peas, tomatoes, herbs, summer and winter squashes, corn, or pumpkins
For around 8 weeks starting each July, Black Mission Figs rain down from the sky (or from our 40-foot fig tree, it's hard to tell)
Just a few trees - peach and apricot - produce delicious stone fruit you'll finish on the spot
